About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Lillian Peck. I am 23 years old and from Worcester, MA. I work part-time at CVS Pharmacy while completing my Master’s in Science Writing from Johns Hopkins University.

I am the child of a hoarder who has prolifically acquired and been unable to get rid of items for my whole life. I lived with my parent from 0-18 before officially leaving home to complete my undergraduate education at Wellesley College. This was during the pandemic, and even when we were forced to live off campus and take virtual classes, I chose to stay with family members in Wellesley. After graduating, I moved back to Worcester and currently rent a beautiful room from my aunt that I keep generally tidy and full of items that bring me joy. After years of living amidst the hoard, followed by the uprooting feeling of changing dorms every year during college, I finally feel stable and happy in my space. I do hope to move into my own apartment in the near future. I will never live with my hoarder parent again, even though, at this point, her hoarding has been significantly reduced due to moving in with her supportive partner after our house burned down in November of 2023.

Ironically, even though I refuse to live with my hoarder parent again, I consider her my best friend. My relationship with my mother flourishes when I am not living with her or entering her spaces. Together, we visit museums, try new foods, spend time with her partner, pet and play with her three cats and one dog, and enjoy grocery shopping.

On my own, I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with my lovely boyfriend, carefully curating what decorates my space, hanging out with some friends over at Wellesley, and, of course, posting to this blog.
